Note: Only NACAC invited advisors will be able to chat with students.
All counselors should log in to test their engagement with this feature before the virtual fair and during ET business hours to be sure that support is available if needed.
Step 1: Check your email for the virtual venue link
You will receive an email from NACAC with a link to the virtual venue login page. Click the link to open the login page.
Step 2: Log in with your registered email
Enter the same email address that you used to receive the virtual venue email.
A special join link will be sent to you in a new email from FAIRSTOP <
communications@gotocollegefairs.com>. If you don't see the email within about five minutes, please check your spam folder.
Step 3: Join the virtual fair
Now youâre in the virtual fair! đ
Step 4: Chat with students
Students can start a conversation with you through the âChat with a Counselorâ tab.
When a student sends you a new message, youâll see it appear at the chat icon at the top of the page. You will also hear a "bell" notification sound. Ensure your computer's sound is on so you can hear notifications in case you need to step away.
Click the chat icon to see your messages.
Next, select the student to see their message.
Click "Connect" to start the chat.
Type your message at the bottom, and click the "Send" icon.
You can continue chatting with the student to answer their questions about the fair.
You can start chats with additional students. Click the back arrow to see all your conversations.
