Best Practice: What is a Qualified Lead?

Swoogo Settings:
- Communicate > Notifications & Reminders > Templates > +Create Email
- From Email should be "communications@gotocollegefairs.com" due to our whitelisting best practices. Ask your PM about upgrading to your org's email address.
- (Optional) Reply-To Email - Use this if you would like your recipients' responses to be sent to you instead of to our unmonitored email box.
- Create Email Template Body from below
- Communicate > Notifications & Reminders > Sent & Scheduled > +Schedule Notification/Reminder
- Choose Email Template
- Choose a Date Early in and Throughout the Season
- Set Registration Status to: "Confirmed"
- Deselect checkbox: 'It should be sent to all registrants, regardless of their responses'
- +New Condition
- Select: All conditions are met below (AND)
- 'Sessions' is equal to '[your college fair name]'
- 'Registration Type' is equal to 'College'
What is a qualified lead?
Matching a student (lead) to a college, university or post-secondary organization is vital to recruitment efforts. At GoToCollegeFairs, there are three methods for lead generation:
- A student visits a booth at an in-person fair and the rep scans their barcode (with the GTCF MobileScan App)
- A student visits a virtual booth during a virtual college fair
- A student’s Desired Attributes (chosen while registering) matches the College Matchmaking® profile created by a registered college, university, or post-secondary organization
*GoToCollegeFairs takes student data security and ethics very seriously and students are prompted to allow/disallow information sharing for all of the above.
Any lead generated through these processes is a qualified lead and will yield usable, actionable student data for college follow up.
